One of the things you often hear about when it comes to wine is what foods certain wines pair with. How do the notes, the flavours, the body of the wine bring out the best in the main course it’s served with? Well. I don’t have all those answers… but here’s one thing I do know. A South Australian winery pairs amazingly with your dream wedding! Whether you’re looking for a chic, all-inclusive resort-style wedding, or an intimate, rustic wedding with minimal accoutrement and natural beauty, South Australian winery wedding venues have the ability to fit all of those needs for you. Modern ethereal sets the tone in one of my favourite Adelaide Hills wedding venues 

Located in Hahndorf, The Lane is an enchanting, sprawling expanse of a vineyard – yet with all that space, their team manages to create a wonderfully intimate setting for your Adelaide Hills wedding photography. In autumn, the vineyard explodes with colour and life, and as things begin to bloom in spring, the entire place feels alive. 

The venue comes with a full-fledged team to assist with both ceremony and reception planning, and depending on the package you choose, you can go for an event with as few as 20 guests or as many as 100. The Lane’s ability to work with your budget means you can go anywhere from gilded era opulence to golden shoestring sensibilities. One of the things that makes this place one of my favourites is that the indoor spaces offer modernity (the monochromatic silvers of the wine vats are amazing for photography!), but the outdoor surroundings offer such ethereal beauty. Modern ethereal is a vibe I didn’t know I needed in my life until right now. There’s a reason The Lane is often listed as one of the best winery wedding venues Adelaide!

 

MITOLO WINERY WEDDINGS

Get wrapped up in La Dolce Vita vibes at this family-owned winery wedding venue 

Opened in 1999 by a loving pair of Italian brothers, the Mitolo winery wedding venue offers not just a taste of The Sweet Life but a full-on Italian gourmet experience. Hailing from the Abruzzo region of the old country, the Mitolo family specialises in premium Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals – and boy are they good! But we’re here to talk about weddings… Goldilocks till your heart’s content with the full range of indoor, outdoor, standing and seating options available in their two dedicated reception spaces. Little Wolf Osteria is a highly customisable indoor space that’s as perfect for sit-down soirées as it is for standing cocktail & canapes. Or if you’re dreaming of a starry night reception but are fearful that the elements might put a literal dampener on the festivities, The Arbor offers all the attractions of the outdoors with all the comforts of the indoors. Retractable blinds on each side mean that the space can become fully enclosed in no time with permanent festoon lighting, hard flooring, ceiling heaters and fans polishing off the creature comforts.

 

BERESFORD ESTATE WEDDINGS
